Soha Abed Elaal was active in archery during the 2000s, a decade during which she won several Egyptian national and African titles. She also set an Arab record in the 50 metres event during this time. She made her international début at the 2003 World Indoor Championships, but had her greatest successes in the second half of the decade. At the 2007 Pan Arab Games, she won the 50 metres competition and was runner-up in the 30 metres. She was then selected to represent Egypt at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where she was 63rd in the women’s individual event. She also took part in the archery World Cup earlier in the year. Following her retirement from active competition, she worked as a coach.
