Biography

Tiffany Day was four-years-old when she took up judo in Pittsworth, Queensland, taking part in competitions just a few years later. Day won her first national title when she was 14, before winning bronze two years later at the 2006 Pan Pacific Masters Games. She was also the Australian junior national champion from 2005 to 2008. Her performances earned her a place on the Olympic team for the 2008 Beijing Games, where she finished 15th in the extra-lightweight event. Following the Olympics, Day moved to the Gold Coast to study pharmaceutical science. Sadly, she was only 29-years-old when she died suddenly in April 2019.
