Lisa Jacquin was a show jumper on the USA team at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics. She rode For the Moment at both Olympics, winning a silver medal in 1988 team jumping, and also riding him at the 1987 Pan American Games, where they won a silver medal in team jumping. Jacquin’s best competitive year was 1987 when she won six Grand Prix events, including the American Invitational, and also was third that year at the World Cup Finals. In 1995 For the Moment, at age 26, became the oldest horse to win a Grand Prix, as Jacquin guided him to victory at the Budweiser AGA Show Jumping Championship in Wellington, Florida.
Jacquin started BDJ Enterprises in 1987, a horse and dog training company based in Pennsylvania, although it relocates to Wellington in winters. She trains hunters, jumpers, and does some work with reining. In 1994 she enlarged the company to include dog training and breeding of schutzhunds. Jacquin was also an ambassador for Horses Healing Hearts, an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of children of alcoholics and substance abuse through working with horses. She continued to compete, however, winning the 2015 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival aboard Chapel Z.
