Biography

Margarita Nava was a Mexican equestrian who competed at multiple international competitions during the 1980s and 1990s. In 1983 Nava won silver in the team dressage at the Pan American Games in Caracas. One year later she competed at the Olympics in Los Angeles, finishing 36th in the individual event and 11th in the team competition. She continued to have success at the Pan American Games, winning an individual and team dressage bronze in 1987 in Indianapolis, followed by another team dressage bronze four years later in La Habana. Nava also won gold in the team dressage at the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Games. She founded and managed the Club Hípico La Joya in Mexico City and served with the Mexican Equestrian Federation.
