Biography

Jürgen Blum was an eventer and member of the German equestrian team that finished a disappointing ninth at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He failed to finish the cross-country element. At European Championships, Blum won a team bronze medal. His daughter Simone won the gold medal at the 2018 World Equestrian Games. By profession, Blum became an entrepreneur and head of the large München horse show “Pferd International”. His father Gustav Adolf Blum was the long-time President of the Bavarian Riders and Carriage Association.
