Paolo Cappabianca was an Italian sports executive who later became President of International Panathlon. Born in Napoli, in the 1970s he joined International Panathlon (founded in 1951) first in 1972 as Vice-President and becoming World President in 1977.
With the help of Secretary-General Giorgio Bazzali, a professional journalist, Cappabianca laid the foundations for a more streamlined and managerial structure. He was responsible for a new panathletic generation and the transfer of the headquarters of International Panathlon from Genova to Rapallo. Cappabianca served as President through June 1988, and then died one month later.
