After earning his PhD from Penn State Charles Dillman became a leader in the field of biomechanics. Dillman worked across the world on sporting programmes where he built medical research foundations, as well as starting programmes focusing on injury prevention. During his career he was the assistant executive director of the U.S. Olympic Committee, and was a member of the IOC’s medical commission. Dillman was awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 1998.
