Biography

Conrad Homfeld has won more titles than any American show jumper. He won the World Cup final in both 1980 and 1985, making him the first rider, from any country, to win that title twice. He was American Grandprix Association Rider of the Year in both 1979 and 1980. At both the 1984 Olympics and the 1986 World Championships, Homfeld won the individual silver medal and helped the United States to the team gold. In 1986 he also won a bronze medal at the World Cup final. After retiring from competition Homfeld turned his attention to training riders and horses, and designing course, eventually being named a USEF Course Designer of the Year.
