Biography

Fabio Magni is an Italian eventer who competed at four Olympic Games. A precocious talent, he qualified for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in dressage but was not chosen for the Italian team. He won the 1985 Italian dressage title, but then switched to eventing.

Riding an Irish bay, Cool’n Breezy, Magni placed fifth in the individual event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, which was his best Olympic finish. He also placed sixth in the team event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His palmarès also included two European team bronzes (2003, 2007) and two Italian Championship (2003, 2007). Magni competed three times at the World Championships. From the 2010s he has led a riding school in Moncrivello, in the Piedmont region.
