Biography

German eventer Peter Thomsen participated in three Olympic Games. He made his début at Atlanta in 1996 and then competed at Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, winning the team gold medal in 2008 and 2012. He won a team bronze at the 1994 World Equestrian Games and a team silver at the 1999 Europeans. In 2007, he also won the team event at the CHIO Aachen.

Thomsen worked with the German Post until 2019. He was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award.
