Biography

René Andring was a cyclist from Luxembourg who competed as an amateur during the early 1960s. In 1960 Andring finished second in the national amateur road race to earn himself a place on the Olympic team. A few months later he finished 25th in the individual road race at the Roma Games, in the main peloton of riders who were 20 seconds behind the race winner. At the Games he also finished 22nd in the 100 kilometres team time trial. Two years later Andring once again finished second in the national amateur road race, as well as second in a one-day race in Esch.
