In 1967 Mexican cyclist Roberto Brito won silver in the road team time trial at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg with compatriots Radamés Treviño, Adolfo Belmonte, and Agustín Alcántara. The following year, the same quartet rode in the same event at their home Olympics in Mexico City, finishing 10th. Brito and his three teammates then won bronze in the team time trial at the 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games in Panamá.
