Vincenzo Ceci was an Italian track cyclist who was Italian sprint champion in 1984 and tandem champion in 1983 and 1984, with Gabriele Sella. In 1984 he took part at the Los Angeles Olympics in the sprint, where he was eliminated early, and he was third at the Barcelona World Championships in tandem with Sella. As a professional (1988-93) Ceci was 1989 Italian Champion in keirin and competed at five editions of the World Championships, with a best finish of fourth in the 1992 keirin.
Vincenzo’s father, Alfonso, contributed to the development of cycling in the Marche region in the 1980s and, in particular, in Ascoli Piceno, where he guided the construction of the Monticelli velodrome. Vincenzo’s son, Luca Ceci, was Italian sprint champion in 2017, and three of his nephews, Davide Ceci, Francisco Ceci, and Valerio Catellini, also represented Italy in track cycling.
