Skip Cutting was primarily a track pursuiter, competing in individual pursuit at the 1964 Olympics and team pursuit at Mexico City in 1968. He also won a bronze medal in team pursuit at the 1967 Pan American Games. Cutting was US Champion in individual pursuit in 1965 and placed second in 1967. In 1970 he won the US title in the match sprint. He raced in Europe into the mid 1970s, but later got into masters racing, and from 1989-92 helped organize the World Cup Masters Track Championships, which later became the Masters World Track Championships. He also coached the corporate employee team Team EDS from 1992-98. Cutting graduated from Cal State at San Bernadino in 1970. He went on to graduate study in exercise physiology and later worked in the field of cardiac physiology and medicine.
