Walter Freitag was an Austrian track cyclist who participated in the 1948 London Olympics. He came eighth in the 1,000 metres time trial and was eliminated in the heats of the 4,000 metres team pursuit. Freitag won the national sprint titles three years in succession from 1947-49, and the tandem title with Karl Wölfl in 1947.
