Mariano Friedick

Mariano Friedick was primarily a track cyclist who rode the team pursuit at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, and also competed in individual pursuit in 2000. Friedick won three medals at the Pan American Games, with golds in the team pursuit in 1995 and 1999, and a silver medal in the road race in 1995. He won two medals in team pursuit at the World Championships, with a silver in 1994 and a bronze in 1995. He also added a silver medal in the road race at the 1993 World Junior Championships.

Later in his career, Friedick raced mostly on the roads, for the Jelly Belly Team from 2000-05, then with Toyota-United Pro in 2006 and Rock Racing in 2007. He won numerous stages at stage races in the US, and was GC winner of the Valley of the Sun Stage Race in 2004, also finishing second that year at the Tour de Temecula.
