Aimé Fritz was born in the Alsace-Lorraine region of what was then Germany, but moved when young to the New York area. Little is known of his cycling career. He graduated from Cooper Institute (now Cooper Union) and had a career specializing in design, field engineering and construction. Later in life he joined Byrne Associates and organized their engineering and drafting departments.
