Biography

German badminton player Michael Helber lost his second-round men’s singles match against Taiwanese Liu En-Hung at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Partnering Michael Keck in the doubles, the pair reached the last 16, but lost to Russians Andrey Antropov and Nikolay Zuyev. Four years later Helber partnered Björn Siegemund but they were eliminated in the first round.

Helber played with PSV Grün-Weiß Wiesbaden domestically, and won the national doubles title in 1995 and 1996 with Keck, and with Siegemund in three consecutive years 1997-99.
