Biography

Austrian cyclist Hans Höfner was a member of the road race team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics that finished fifth. Individually he came 16th. Höfner won the Semperit Tour (a forerunner of the Tour of Austria) in 1937. In 1935 and 1937 he also won individual stages of the race. In 1938 Höfner rode as a professional, and after World War II took part in the 1949 Tour of Austria.
