Otto Luedeke was only 16-years-old when he competed in the road race at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics. He joined the US Army in 1942, as a private, and became a career military officer, leaving with the rank of Major. After his death, Luedeke was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
