Nicolas Morn

Originally a farmer, Nicolas Morn went on to have a career in cycling that spanned 20 years. In the early 1950s Morn competed at several editions of the Flèche du Sud stage race in his native Luxembourg, with his performances earning him a place on the Olympic team. At the Helsinki Games he competed in the individual road race, but finished down in 51st, more than 20 minutes behind the race winner. From 1954 to 1957 he rode in four consecutive editions of the Tour de France, with a best overall result of 68th in 1956.

In the latter half of his career Morn specialised in cyclo-cross competing in multiple races in Europe, including several editions of the World Championships. After finishing second at the national championships in Luxembourg in 1963 he went on to become a three-time national champion, winning in 1964, 1967, and 1968. Morn was still competing at the top level in the early 1970s, finishing third at the national championships in 1971.
