Charles Morton was a Californian who competed both on the track, riding the team pursuit, and the roads at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Morton raced for the Italian Cycle Club. At the US Championships road race, Morton was second in 1937 and third in 1936. He was a bicycle mechanic who later ran his own bike shop.
