Jesse Pike was from New Jersey and rode for the Century Road Club of America. He placed fifth in the 1912 US Olympic Trials race, although it was noted that he had 20 punctures during that 100-mile race and had to use five different bikes. At the Stockholm Olympics, Pike was well back individually, in 54th place, but won a bronze medal with the USA in the team road race.
