Robert Rammer qualified for the 1912 Stockholm Olympics when he finished sixth in the selection competition held on a street track between Purkersdorf-Rekawinkel-St. Pölten-Sieghartskirchen-Purkersdorf (3 laps, total 291 km) in a time of 11-22:48 on 2 June 1912. At the Games he finished seventh with the road race team, and 23rd individually among 120 competitors.
In 1912, Rammer also placed second at the Wien (Vienna) – Graz – Wien (Vienna) road race. In 1911, he won the Austrian national championships, and was second in 1913. In 1919, he placed third in the Berlin – Hamburg road race, and was second at the Kieler Woche road race.
