David Rhoads raced at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics, on the road both years, but also in the team pursuit in 1956. He won a national track title in 1951. In 1956 he was working as a woodworker. David was an active member of the El Dorado County community. He could be seen over many years as an avid fan of Ponderosa High School sports, most enthusiastically cheering on the Ponderosa wrestling and football teams.
