Jim Rossi rode for the Norwood Park Club. He was US Champion in the omnium from 1959-63, sprint champion in 1956, and won the 10 mile track title in 1966. Rossi was Illinois state champion multiple times. At the Pan American Games he won gold with the pursuit team (with Dick Cortright, Robert Pfarr, and Charlie Hewett) in 1959 and silver in the sprint in 1963. He worked as a repairman and was inducted into the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in 1991.
