David Sharp rode the tandem sprint at the 1960 Olympics along with Jack Hartman. Sharp attended Santa Monica City College and rode for the Santa Monica Cycling Club. He was third at the 1959 American Bicycle League of America (ABLA) nationals in the kilometre time trial.
