John Sinibaldi competed in the road race for the United States the 1932 and 1936 Olympics, also competing on the track in 1936 in the team pursuit. Sinibaldi had a career that spanned an amazing 77 years, starting with his first national competition in 1928. He was an 18-time national champion, including many in masters races. Sinibaldi worked for many years as a sheet metal worker. In 1977 he returned to racing and competed until shortly before his death in 2006, winning his last national title at the 2005 USA Cycling Masters road championship. Sinibaldi was inducted into the US Bicycling Hall of Fame in 1997.
