Julio Sobrera was a Uruguayan cyclist who was active during the first half of the 1950s. In 1952 Sobrera competed in the individual road race at the Helsinki Olympics but did not finish the course. Three years later he won silver in the 4,000 metres team pursuit at the Pan American Games with compatriots Luis Serra and Alberto Velázquez. Sobrera also rode in several editions of the Vuelta del Uruguay, recoding a couple of podium finishes.
