Leo Sterckx was a Belgian cyclist who specialised on the track. At the 1960 Roma Olympics Sterckx won the silver medal in the sprint, finishing second to Italy’s Sante Gaiardoni. He was a three-time national champion in the track sprint, twice as an amateur (1959, 1960), and once as a professional (1964). He rode as a professional cyclist from 1960 to 1966.
