Marvin Thomson was an engineer who attended the University of Illinois. In 1941 he won the US Championships in the road race. However, at the 1948 Olympics, Thomson raced on the track, in the tandem sprint, alongside Al Stiller. Thomson represented the Chicago CYO in 1948.
