Biography

Francisco Valada was a Portuguese road cyclist who competed during the 1960s. In 1960 Valada was selected to participate at the Roma Olympics, competing in the road race and the team time trial. Two years later he finished second at the national road race championships and came 48th in the Vuelta a España. He rode in two further editions of the Vuelta a España with a best finish of 23rd in 1964. Arguably Valada’s best result came when he won the 1966 edition of the Volta a Portugal.
