Biography

West German track cyclist Frank Weber finished seventh in the sprint event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He lost his quarter-final against the eventual champion Lutz Heßlich from East Germany. In 1984, Weber won the tandem world title with non-Olympian Jürgen Greil, and the following year Weber won the bronze medal with Sascha Wallscheid. In 1986 and 1987, Weber won three national titles. He later became CEO in his father’s company making smoke and heat extraction and ventilation systems.
