Erich Welt was an Austrian cyclist who participated in the 1948 London Olympics. He partnered Kurt Nemetz in the 2,000 metres tandem sprint and they placed ninth out of ten starters. In the sprint event he was eliminated in the third round of six. In 1950 and 1953 Welt won the Austrian national sprint title.
