Tasos Bavelas was a Greek tennis player who represented Greece in the Davis Cup from 1984 to 1994. His career-best singles ranking was 451 in the world in November 1984. Bavelas competed at three consecutive Summer Olympics; 1984 Los Angeles, 1988 Seoul, and 1992 Barcelona.
At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Bavelas competed in the singles tournament when tennis was a demonstration event. He lost his first round match to Jorge Bardou of Spain. For the next two Olympics, Bavelas competed in the doubles tournaments, pairing with Georgios Kalovelonis and Konstantinos Efremoglou, respectively.
