Sabine Blemenschütz was a team member of the Austrian female national field hockey team at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. The team finished fifth out of six in the round-robin tournament. In total, she won 121 international caps. Domestically, Blemenschütz played with SV Arminen Wien (Vienna). Blemenschütz later studied marketing and communication and became secretary general of the Austrian Field Hockey Association.
