Eva Cambal was a team member of the Austrian female national field hockey team at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. The team finished fifth out of six in the round-robin tournament. Domestically, Cambal played with HC Wien (Vienna). Together with her husband Günter, who died in 2023, she ran the HC Wien canteen.
