Biography

Georges Grojean enjoyed a decade-long field career with the Royal Daring de Bruxelles, starting in 1925. Playing alongside his brother Pierre, Grojean earned several international caps during his career, with the most notable one being for the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he helped the Belgian squad to a fourth-place finish.

He was the younger son of a successful and notable publisher, Oscar Grojean (1875–1950), a noted literary scholar and librarian/curator. Georges Grojean’s later professional career was as a civil servant, colonial official and diplomat, and was serving as Inspector General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the time of his death in 1968.
