Édouard Bader was selected three times for the French national team, in addition to his Olympic appearance. He appeared at a test match against a selection of New Zealand Māoris in 1926 and two matches at the Five Nations Tournament in 1927. Unfortunately, his French team lost all three games. During his club career, Bader wore the colors of SS Primevères, Stade Français, CASG Paris (Club Athlétique de la Société Générale Paris, now renamed after Jean Bouin) and AS Bourse as a scrum-half. From 1953-59 Bader was mayor of his hometown of Ferrières-en-Brie.
