Auguste Giroux played rugby football for Stade Francais from 1892-1902. He helped them win French titles in 1893 and 1895 and took them to the finals in 1899 and 1901, although they lost. Giroux studied medicine at Lycée Henri IV, and served as a major and medic during World War I.
