Biography

Frank Bayliss was one of the forwards for Moseley Wanderers in their only match, a 27-8 defeat by Union des Sociétés Français de Sports Athletiques, at the 1900 Paris Olympics. He played his club rugby for Moseley RUFC. Bayliss was an architect by profession and in 1925 was made a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA). Between 1905 and his death in 1938, Bayliss was the design coordinator responsible for all newsagent W. H. Smith’s bookshops.
