Erik Husted played in two Olympic hockey tournaments, winning a silver in 1920, and competing with his brother, Otto, in 1928. Erik Husted studied medicine in Helsingør and København. In 1943 he became a Professor of Oral Surgery at the Danish University of Dentistry, where he later became President. From 1965-66 he was Chairman of the Scandinavian Society for Oral Surgery. In addition to his academic work, he was also President of the Danish Ski Federation.
