Jaswant Rajput was a centre-half who won gold medals with the Indian teams at the 1948 and 1952 Olympics. He was considered part of the golden era of Bengal hockey. Rajput later shifted to Delhi and played for Bhowanipore Club, but in 1952 moved to Mohun Bagan and helped them win the Beighton Cup.
