Although born in the Dutch East Indies, Jenne Langhout lived most of his life in Hilversum, where he played half-back for HMHC. Winning the Dutch title in 1944, Langhout was later selected for 18 Dutch national team appearances, most notably playing at the London Games, where the Dutch squad earned a bronze medal. Following his hockey career, he switched to cricket, playing in the first team of the Hilversumsche Cricket Club between 1954 and 1962. At a later age, Langhout also picked up golf.
