Biography

John Hicks was a New Zealand field hockey player who represented the national team in the 1960s. Hicks was part of the squad that finished seventh in the tournament at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. He only played in one match, however, in their 2–0 win against Kenya in the final classification round. In 2009 Hicks was part of a celebration event that honoured past New Zealand Olympians.
