Biography

Jan Flinik competed in hockey at the 1952 and 1960 Olympics. He earned 40 international caps, scoring 24 goals. Flinik competed most of his career with the Gniezno club, which changed names several times, being known as Stella, Spójnia, and then Sparta. He was an 11-time Polish Champion, winning one title with OWKS Wrocław when he was in the military. For his sporting achievements Flinik was given the Golden Medal of the Polish Grassroots Hockey Association and received silver and bronze medals as a Meritorious Champion of Poland.
