Biography

Donna Lee played hockey at the University of Iowa as a goalkeeper. She was a two-time first-team All-American, and in 2004 was inducted into the University of Iowa Hall of Fame. Lee played for the US National team from 1986-90. In addition to her 1988 Olympic appearance, she played at the 1986 and 1990 World Cups, and won a silver medal at the 1987 Pan American Games.

Even during her playing career, Lee was a coach, serving as an assistant at the University of Michigan and Boston College, before becoming head coach at Bentley College, a position she resigned to play in the 1988 Olympics. From 1990-95 she served as an assistant coach at Harvard, and later served as a volunteer assistant and goalkeeping coach. She also umpired field hockey in NCAA D-2 and D-3 games, played with the US National indoor field hockey team, and was an assistant at the Crimson Field Hockey Camps at Harvard. As Donna Chung, she and her husband settled in the Boston area.
