Elwood Godfrey played hockey for the US at the 1948 London Olympics. He represented the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Graduating from Princeton in 1933 and Penn Medical School in 1937, Godfrey did his residency in radiology at Penn, finishing in 1943. He served in the Navy Medical Corps in the South Pacific in World War II, leaving the Navy as a commander in 1946. Godfrey practiced initially in Hartford, Connecticut but later moved to Princeton, New Jersey.
