Kurt Orban played hockey (field) for the United States at the 1948 and 1956 Olympics. He was a forward and also served on the US Olympic Committee field hockey committee. Orban founded Kurt Orban Partners, a company still in existence (2015) in Burlingame, California, which specializes in specialty steel procurement. After Orban’s death the company was taken over by his son, Matt Orban.
