Brian Spencer attended Moorpark College but later became somewhat of a hockey (field) lifer. In addition to his Olympic appearance, he won a bronze medal at the 1987 Pan American Games. He continued to play into his 50s, even after a hip replacement, and made an attempt to make the 1996 US Olympic team. Spencer was a member of the US Over-45 National Team for several years. He worked at various jobs, including police officer, engineer, and water damage contractor and lived in several states, including California, Montana, South Dakota, and Louisiana.
